Today, Samsung and U.S. Cellular together launched the Samsung SCH-U440, also known as Samsung Gloss (not Gross, although it looks like) in the US. The Gross phone is a compact flip style phone equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard.

The Gloss phone is available in pink and charcoal color. Features and specifications wise, it doesn’t have any new fancy feature that would excite you, however, this phone has all the basic features and some multimedia features of a regular cell phone in the market. It has 1.3-megapixel digital camera, MP3 music player, Stereo Bluetooth, and a 2.2-inch Landscape LCD screen, a microSD memory expansions slot that supports up to 16GB.

“Customers are looking for more out of their cell phones every day,” said Alan D. Ferber, Chief Marketing Officer at U.S. Cellular. “The Samsung Gloss offers a full qwerty keyboard for easy texting as well as a built in camera and music player to make this phone a unique all-in-one device.
